DecoWood® Custom Cladding

Decowood is a proprietary finishing technique used to replicate the natural look and texture of wood on various surfaces like aluminium. Decowood finishes are available in a wide range of colours, shades and wood grain patterns, allowing for customisation to suit various design preferences and architectural styles. The process can produce highly realistic results, with the finished aluminium panels closely resembling the appearance of natural wood.

Durable

Durable - Decowood finishes are resistant to warping, rotting, cracking, fading & termites, making them suitable for exterior applications where exposure to the elements is a concern.

Low Maintenance

Low Maintenance - Unlike real wood, Decowood finishes require minimal maintenance and upkeep. They do not need to be stained, painted, or sealed regularly to maintain their appearance and integrity.

Sustainable

Sustainable - Decowood finishes offer an environmentally friendly alternative to harvesting and processing natural wood. They are made using eco-friendly manufacturing processes and can contribute to sustainable building practices.

Decowood finishes are commonly used across multiple architectural applications like facades, window and door frames, louvres, sunscreens and decorative cladding. It provides the warmth and beauty of wood without the maintenance challenges, offering architects, designers and owners a versatile and durable solution for achieving the desired aesthetic.

Batten Sizes - Decowood aluminium battens come in a variety of sizes and shapes. The following square and rectangular one piece battens are the most common and best suited sizes to clad a garage door.

     20 x 20mm square

     40 x 40mm square

     25 x 50mm rectangle

The 6.5m lengths can be cut to size on site. Most profiles are between 1.5mm and 3mm in thickness.

Decowood aluminium will not warp or split and are generally lighter than most traditional solid timber battens. They also meet the following stringent Australian building standards relating to fire, AS1530.1, AS/NZA1530.3, AS3837 and NCC2015.

Two piece battens are prone to movement on a garage door and are not recommended.
